Cause of Death:

Jimmy died of a Pulmonary Embolism.  I found him laying on his side barely breathing one evening.  It happened so suddenly and there apparently was no real cause of it.  He didn't appear to be in much pain, just had some labored breathing.  He died on the way to the emergency veterinary hospital.

This was so sudden and it really wasn't fair!  Jimmy received a second place award in a show in 2002 when he was still pretty young.  He was actually a very nice little chin.  I wish that he would have stayed with us longer.  Shortly after his death his mate, Rosa, gave birth to another litter of his babies.  They look and act just like him!  Rosa was very depressed for several weeks after Jimmy's passing.  We have absolutely no idea of why this happened!   There was no indication that there was a problem.
