Cause of Death:  It looked like it could have been a problem like a liver issue, but I can't tell.  He was in good health and very fiesty up until the last couple of days.  Last night he took a shredded wheat and ate it passionately.  Although, he seemed to be slowed down a bit.  For the last week or so I was thinking he looked a little strange.  There were no outward symptoms of anything.  He was middle aged in chinchilla years at six years old.  I suspect that his cause of death was something he sustained at his previous home.    

I'm going to miss little Herbert.  Right now I am in shock that he's gone.  For 4 1/2 years I have woken up every morning to his little face greeting me.  I had to hurry up and get his page updated before I just couldn't do it!  Trust me, in a few minutes I am going to be in tears and unable to do anything at all...  Good bye my little fella...I love you very much and even a decade or more with you still would not have been enough.
