Cause of Death:  I am not sure what killed little Ava.  She started losing weight after she was born despite nursing constantly.  I tried feeding her with kitten milk and Nutrical but she wouldn't eat.   She was about 30 grams when she died.  I will miss her, she was a sweet little baby chinnie that always seemed to be jumping around the cage with her mother.  Until February 11 she was active and didn't act like there was anything wrong, except she was losing weight.  Watch your little chinchilla babies' weights when they are young, most of the time you can feed them yourself and they will be fine.  There had to be something really wrong with little Ava, sometimes there is nothing that can be done to save them.  :(
